The wait is over! The Universal Vacation Club and the Villa Group are proud to announce the completion of a $7 million renovation to the Villa del Palmar Resort in Cabo San Lucas. There has never been a better time to see for yourself how gorgeous your resort is - come sample the delicious food, dig your toes in the sand, relax by the pool, and enjoy all that Mexico and UVC has to offer!
Can you believe that Villa del Palmar Cabo is celebrating its 16th birthday? We remember when our doors opened, and how excited we were to add this 5-star property to the UVC family of resorts in Puerto Vallarta. The Developers and the Club planned everything carefully - hiring the staff, selecting the furniture, amenities, flooring, Spa services, landscaping, restaurant themes and menus, and so many more details - each selected specially to ensure the utmost in quality products and services for our members. But as you know, proper upkeep and routine maintenance is vital in order to keep the quality of products, services and building interiors and exteriors up to par.
Well, fast forward to 2010 and the completion of our renovation! Realizing that we were overdue for a "facelift," we spent more than $7 million on a complete refurbishment plan that touched every phase and element of the resort. Here are some of the upgrades you can expect:
- Lobby Area and Flooring – Your first impression of the resort…. When you walk through the doors your dream vacation begins, setting the stage for other additions and improvements you will experience during your trip.
- Building Facades – New paint colors were used for the exteriors - warm tones that truly embrace the ambiance of Mexico.
- Entertainment - A new stage, office and dressing room area for the activities staff – you will be amazed by the quality of the entertainment!
- Pool Area – The entire pool area has been revamped with a refurbished whale slide, restoration of the concrete and a beautiful new blue pool bottom, walkways and decks made of gorgeous flagstone and state-of-the art pergolas to provide shade from the sun.
- Boutique – Forget your sunglasses or sunscreen? A new poolside shop provides quick and easy access to anything you might need to enjoy your beach and pool experience.
- Terrace & Sundeck – We have extended the terrace facing the famous El Arco at Lands End to afford more seating space to enjoy those amazing sunsets.
- Fire Pit –A brand-new fire pit has been added to provide a warm and relaxing area to spend time with friends and family.
- Lounge Bar – the Lounge Bar has been updated - now your margaritas or refreshing beverage will be twice as delicious!
- Suite Upgrades – Your rooms are in the process of being redecorated in style! A fresh, upscale look is being implemented with new colors, lighting, beds, room amenities, improved fabrics, décor and other details. You will love coming back to your room after a day in the sun! (ongoing through June 2010)
- Fitness Center - Vacation is the perfect time to get on track with your fitness goals, and our new equipment and refurbished sauna and wet areas are the perfect place to do it!
- Gaming – State-of-the-art gaming center with all the latest XBOX, PlayStation and PC games will be available for hours of enjoyment – for you or the kids! Hospitality Suite - A great place to take a quick rest without going to your room, arrange a meeting, or check your email.
- Our hospitality suite has gone through a makeover and has been moved to provide a more convenient location for our members' access.
This stunning resort offers an integrated environment meant to provide a rejuvenating retreat from the responsibilities of everyday life.
At the center of the resort, you will find two enormous swimming pools; the beach front pool filled by cascading water spilling from the pool above. A life-size whale water slide joins the pools together, and kids of all ages can be found frolicking and splashing in the sparkling waters.

Desert Spa
Designed in Mexican hacienda style, this 31,000 sq ft spa complements its natural setting with earthy tones, ample natural light, and the scents and flavors of Baja. Among its many attributes are generous hydrotherapy centers for men and women; including a spacious jacuzzi, cold plunge pool, cold pressure showers, body temperature pool, steam room, sauna and Swiss shower.
In addition, 17 treatment rooms, two exclusive VIP suites with private jacuzzi and shower, a full-service beauty salon and extensive menu of exotic treatment services will set the stage for the Desert Spa to be haven for health, beauty, decompression and rejuvenation.

Airport Transportation
Shuttle Service can be arranged prior to arrival via the Club office. We provide round trip transportation from the airport to the resorts for a fee of $36.00 per person, round trip. Please allow us a minimum of 14 business days prior to arrival - contact the Club office for inquires or reservations at 1-800-852-4755.
